This collection presents productions that focus on the street situation in the last decade (2006-2016) from different lenses: from the stories of its residents, through the assumption and political construction of the National Street Population Movement and the intersections between street and crack in light of the various care, management and treatment devices that were mobilized at the same time. All texts are the result of original research, woven from the visceral encounter among researchers, people on the street and policy makers. The aim is to have the empirical and political dimension of the street as a central aspect to thinking about issues such as the management of bodies and the control of naked lives in cities.
